Uzbekistan delegation takes part in Ebrahim Raisi's funeral in Tehran

Bakhtiyor Saidov, as part of the delegation of Uzbekistan, arrived in Tehran yesterday to participate in the funeral ceremony for the late President Ebrahim Raisi, Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian and other high-ranking officials of Iran.

“Together with the Speaker of the Oliy Majlis Legislative Chamber Nurdinjon Ismoilov, we arrived in Tehran to participate in the farewell ceremony for the late President of Iran H.E. Ebrahim Raisi, Iranian Foreign Minister H.E. Hossein Amir Abdollahian and other high-ranking officials,” the head of the Uzbek Foreign Ministry wrote in his Telegram channel. – On behalf of the President of Uzbekistan H.E. Shavkat Mirziyoyev, we expressed solidarity with the people of Iran and deepest condolences”.

It should be recalled that on May 21, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the Iranian Embassy in Tashkent and expressed deep condolences to the friendly Iranian people in connection with the tragic death of President Ebrahim Raisi and accompanying officials as a result of a helicopter crash in the north of the country.

The head of our state, the President of Uzbekistan left a note with words of sincere sympathy and support in the Book of Condolences opened at the Embassy.

The day before, the President of Uzbekistan sent a message of condolences to the Supreme Spiritual Leader of Iran, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
