Uzbek athletes bag 12 medals at World Youth Weightlifting Championships
Four athletes were awarded two gold, 6 silver and 4 bronze medals.
Weightlifters of Uzbekistan won 12 medals at the World Junior Weightlifting Championships held in Peru.
Ruslan Rakhmatjonov, who performed in the weight category up to 81 kg, received 2 gold and 1 silver awards: snatch (139 kg) – silver, clean and jerk (172 kg) and the sum of two exercises (311 kg) – gold.
Marjona Abdumutalova, who competed in the weight category up to 59 kg, won 1 silver and 2 bronze medals: snatch (82 kg) – bronze, clean and jerk (100 kg) – silver and the sum of two exercises (182 kg) – bronze.
Bekzod Gofirjonov, who competed in the weight category up to 89 kg, was awarded 1 silver and 2 bronze medals: snatch (141 kg) – bronze, clean and jerk (183 kg) – silver and the sum of two exercises (324 kg) – bronze.
Omadillo Olimov, who competed in the weight category up to 102 kg, won three silver medals in the snatch (150 kg), clean and jerk (195 kg) and the total of two exercises (345 kg).
