24-year-old prisoner commits suicide in a penal colony in Namangan region
The Pop district prosecutor’s office is conducting a pre-investigation check.
On May 23, a 24-year-old prisoner committed suicide in a prison in the Namangan region, the PGO press secretary Khayot Shamsutdinov reported.
It is noted that the convict, born in 2000, died after hanging himself on the territory of the production workshop. He was serving a long sentence under Part 5 of Article 273 of the Criminal Code (Illegal production, acquisition, storage and other actions with narcotic drugs, their analogues or psychotropic substances for the purpose of sale, as well as their sale on a large scale).
Apart from the strangulation groove in the neck area, no other injuries were found on the corpse.
