“This month, 21,500 graduates will enter the labor market in the region. Providing the unemployed and low-income people with jobs and sources of income is our strategic goal,” Mirziyoyev said.
He emphasized that he warned the local leadership about the need to create conditions in order to transform the Bukhara region “into a region free from poverty, unemployment and crime”.
According to the President, this year in Bukhara small businesses have been allocated an additional 2.1 trillion soums of loan funds. Another $100 million will be allocated to the tourism and service industries.
Mirziyoyev noted that industrial zones are an excellent opportunity to create new jobs. Thus, in the Kogon district, a large industrial complex is being built on 1000 hectares, where projects worth $300 million are being implemented at the first stage. This will provide jobs for 2 thousand people, 250 billion soums in tax revenues and exports in the amount of $100 million, he added.
