Uzbekistan welcomes the ceasefire plan announced by US President Joe Biden.
The spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ahror Burkhanov, responded to a question regarding Uzbekistan's stance on the ceasefire plan in the Gaza Strip announced by US President Joe Biden. He emphasized that Uzbekistan supports resolving conflicts only through peaceful means and all available diplomatic channels.
"We are closely monitoring the situation in the Gaza Strip that led to thousands of civilian casualties, especially women and children. It deeply concerns us.
Uzbekistan supports resolving conflicts solely through peaceful means and all available diplomatic channels.
In this regard, international efforts to peacefully resolve the crisis are of paramount importance. We applaud the actions of all countries, including the US initiative for ceasefire, release of captives, and restoration of peaceful life,” said the ministry representative.
The ministry calls on all parties to exercise restraint, respect international law, prevent violence, and avoid further casualties among the civilian population.
In early June, Israel accepted the plan to end the conflict and resolve the Gaza Strip crisis proposed by US President Joe Biden.
