Uzbekistan delegation gets acquainted with experience of Italy in organizing activities of local representative bodies

The visit was organized in order to study foreign experience to develop a concept for the development of activities of representative bodies of local government in Uzbekistan until 2030.

Members of the delegation met with the head of the department of international relations of the Italian Chamber of Deputies Mario Di Napoli, expert Andrea Frangioni, diplomatic adviser, head of the department of regional affairs and autonomies of the Council of Ministers of Italy Perluigi Trombetta, president of the Regional Council of Lazio, head of the Conference of Presidents of the Legislative Councils of Territories and Independent Provinces of Rome Antonio Aurigemma, Deputy Mayor for Decentralization Andrea Catarchi, President of the Veneto Regional Council Roberto Chiambetti.

During the meetings, an exchange of views took place on the implementation of Italian best practices in the organization, management and improvement of the activities of local representative bodies in Uzbekistan.

The Italian side expressed its readiness not only to share its experience in this area, but also to study the experience of Uzbekistan.

Following the meetings, agreements were reached to continue the bilateral dialogue.
