Embassy of Mongolia opens in Tashkent
The President of Mongolia, along with the Prime Minister of Uzbekistan and the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA), participated in the opening ceremony of Mongolia’s embassy in Tashkent.
As part of the state visit by the President of Mongolia, Ukhnaagiin Khurelsukh, the opening ceremony for the Mongolian embassy in the city of Tashkent took place.
The President of Mongolia, the Prime Minister of Uzbekistan Abdulla Aripov, and other officials inaugurated the new diplomatic premises of Mongolia. The conditions created for diplomats at the embassy were showcased during the event.
Mongolia had planned to open an embassy in Uzbekistan in 2023, and this issue was discussed at a meeting between the foreign ministers of the two countries.
Two years ago, Mongolia’s MFA introduced a visa-free regime for citizens of Uzbekistan for up to 30 days.
