Major fire broke out at a shopping complex in Denau

To extinguish the fire, 9 fire and rescue crews from the Emergency Situations Department of the Denau, Shurchi, Altynsay, Sariosiyo and Kumkurgan districts of Surkhandarya region arrived at the scene.

Today, June 25, at 02:12 on the territory of the Bek LLC shopping complex, located in the Bobur mahalla of Denau district, a fire occurred in 4 main and 8 small stores.

According to the Surkhandarya regional administration, goods and equipment on an area of 90 square meters were damaged as a result of the fire.

At 02:20, 9 fire and rescue crews from the Emergency Situations Department of the Denau, Shurchi, Altynsay, Sariosiyo and Kumkurgan districts arrived on the scene; at 02:30 the fire was localized and at 03:50 it was completely extinguished.

As a result of the efforts of firefighters, they managed to prevent the fire from spreading to other parts of the complex and saved 48 shops and 500 square meters of retail space from destruction. No one was injured in the fire.

The cause of the fire and the extent of material damage are currently being established.
