Streets flooded due to a pipe rupture in caital’s Yunusabad district
In the Yunusabad district of Tashkent, at the intersection of Moykurgon and Korakamish streets, early on Wednesday morning, a main water pipe with a diameter of 1,200 mm ruptured, causing the streets to be flooded with water. Photos and videos of flooded streets and courtyards appeared on social networks.

The “Toshkent shahar suv ta’minoti” enterprise reported that due to the accident, the water supply to consumers in the mahallas “Tiklanish” (passages 1-6, Gishtkurgon street), “Astrabod”, “Turkiston”, “Sobirobod”, the “Zenit” plant, the Academy of Prosecutor’s Office and other facilities was turned off.
Work is now underway to eliminate the accident. Water tankers have been sent to areas where water has been cut off.
Traffic on flooded streets has been stopped. Buses of routes 6, 24 and 142 may operate outside the schedule, Toshshakhartranskhizmat reported.
