Uzbekistan and the Netherlands discuss cooperation in political, economic, and cultural areas
The Ambassador of Uzbekistan to the Benelux countries, Gayrat Fazilov, held a meeting with the Director of the Europe Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Netherlands, Erik Weststrate.
During the meeting, the agenda of Uzbekistan-Netherlands bilateral and multilateral cooperation, as well as the outcomes of political consultations between the foreign ministries of the two countries, were discussed.
The parties were pleased to note that the political consultations provide an opportunity to discuss not only the issues of enhancing political dialogue but also the prospects for cooperation in trade, economy, and investments, the development of interparliamentary ties and cultural exchange, as well as the deepening of partnerships between leading scientific and educational institutions.
The sides exchanged views on mutual support of candidacies in the elective bodies of the UN, and the intensification of cooperation in the trade-economic, investment, and migration spheres.
The prospects for Uzbekistan-Netherlands interaction within the EU framework were also considered.
