On July 15, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev reviewed the reports on the admission processes to state higher education institutions, the improvement of quality in the higher education system, and the implementation of international academic programs.
The president emphasized the need to strengthen the integration of networks, enterprises, and higher education institutions to train advanced and competitive specialists in their fields.
During President Mirziyoyev’s visit to the USA in September 2023, agreements were reached in the field of education. Accordingly, the American University of Technology is expected to open in Tashkent.
Its activities will commence in the 2024-25 academic year. The university will train personnel in fields such as engineering, architecture and design, information technology, healthcare, economics and finance, and international relations. Graduates will receive a diploma from Arizona State University or a partner foreign university recognized in the USA.
Organizational measures and future goals for this initiative have been outlined.
