30 people arrested in Tashkent for running a $900,000 online casino
Among those arrested are 12 foreigners who organized online gambling in a house they rented.

In the Yakkasaray district of Tashkent, 12 foreigners and 18 Uzbeks were detained for operating online games in a rented house, according to the press service of the Tashkent City Department of Internal Affairs.
During the search of the house, 37 laptops and Wi-Fi routers, $1,400 in cash, 14 SIM cards, 7 phones, and 12 bank cards were seized as evidence.
It is noted that over three months, the casino's turnover reached $900,000.
A criminal case has been opened under Article 278, Part 1 of the Criminal Code of Uzbekistan (Organization and Conduct of Gambling and Other Risk-Based Games). This article carries a penalty of up to 7 years in prison.
