Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan strengthen trade ties with new export agreements
Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan have taken significant steps to enhance their trade relations, following a successful business forum and B2B meetings held in Baku. The event, titled "Uzbekistan–Azerbaijan," was organized in collaboration with the Association of Exporters of Uzbekistan and brought together over 80 business representatives from both nations.
A key highlight of the forum was the exhibition of Uzbek products, which featured a diverse range of goods, including textiles, cosmetics, agricultural products, medicine, pharmaceuticals, and household items. The showcase provided Azerbaijani partners with a comprehensive overview of the high-quality products available from Uzbekistan.
The official opening ceremony was marked by the presence of prominent figures from both countries. Among them were Vugar Zeynalov, Vice President of the Confederation of Entrepreneurs of Azerbaijan; Ramin Sharifov, the founder and head of the "Uzbekistan" trading house in Baku; and Shukhrat Valikhanov, Deputy Chairman of the Association of Exporters of Uzbekistan.
The forum yielded fruitful outcomes, with several export agreements signed between Uzbek companies and their Azerbaijani counterparts. In addition to these agreements, the parties concurred on the supply of products to the "Uzbekistan" trading house in Baku. Furthermore, Azerbaijani companies expressed plans to visit Uzbekistan in August-September to explore the country's production facilities and potentially expand their business operations.
