Uzbekistan to launch national time scale and paid time service in 2025
Starting in 2025, Uzbekistan plans to implement a national time scale (UTC(UZ)). The Cabinet of Ministers has adopted a resolution "On Measures for the Effective Organization of the Time and Frequency Service in the Republic of Uzbekistan."

A new Time and Frequency Service will be established under the Metrology Institute, which will provide accurate time information to various agencies and organizations. This service will be implemented within a public-private partnership (PPP) with "Uztelecom."
Under the terms of the PPP, the provision of accurate time to government agencies and other organizations will be done on a paid basis, with 90% of the funds received being directed to "Uztelecom."
