Gov’t organizations attempted to conduct illegal public procurement worth 11 billion UZS in two months

The anti-corruption agency’s June-July inspections of public procurement revealed cases of conflict of interest, affiliation and improper evaluation. According to the agency, collected documents on cases of violations of the law totaling 11 billion UZS have been sent to law enforcement agencies.

According to the agency’s press service, the following organizations and institutions have allowed conflicts of interest in public procurement:

- 2.9 billion UZS by the state institution of the Jizzakh branch of Uzyulkuprik cluster;
- 885.9 million UZS by children’s music and art school No. 20 in Shakhrisabz city;
- 605 million UZS by the Namangan state forestry;
- 551.9 million UZS by the Tashkent district medical association;
- 520 million UZS by the SUE “Construction-repair group” under the MIA;
- 500 million UZS by the Termiz district water supply service state institution;
- 407 million UZS by the Yangiyer branch of the Tashkent Institute of Chemical Technology;
- 275.5 million UZS by the Kumkurgan district landscaping department;
- 200 million UZS by the Sariosiyo district road use unitary enterprise;
- 190 million UZS by the Kashkadarya branch of the Republican Epidemic Quarantine and Protection Center for Highly Dangerous Infectious Diseases;
- 169.1 million UZS by the Andijan scientific-experimental station state institution;
- 82 million UZS by the Narpay district landscaping department;
- 76.5 million UZS by the Preschool and school education department of Oltinsoy district.

In addition, in the following public procurements, violations of the law during the evaluation process contrary to the requirements of the Law “On public procurements” were allowed:

- 3 billion UZS by the JSC “Oqoltin don mahsulotlari”;
- 403 million UZS by the vocational school of Akhangaran city, Tashkent region.

In addition, it was found out that mutually affiliated persons participated in the state procurement of the Namangan vocational training center worth 269 million UZS, contrary to the requirements of the law.

Based on the agency’s submissions, it was ensured that the contracts of the procurement commissions on determining the winner were canceled, thereby preventing the illegal conduct of the registered public procurements. Collected documents related to the cases of violations of the law were sent to law enforcement agencies for taking legal action.
