Paralympics 2024: Uzbekistan starts strong with bronze and silver medals
On the first day of the Paris Paralympics, the Uzbekistan delegation secured two medals.
In para-swimming, Muslima Odilova competed in the S13 classification for the 100-meter butterfly and finished third with 1:05.43, earning Uzbekistan's first medal of the event, a bronze. Notably, Odilova was also a medalist at the Rio 2016 Paralympics.

In para-taekwondo, Ziyoda Isokova, competing in the -47 kg weight category, reached the final but lost to Peru's Leonor Angelica Espinoza Carranza with a score of 4:10, securing the silver medal. On her way to the final, Ziyoda defeated opponents from Thailand and neutral-status competitors.
