Khorezm resident arrested for attempting to sell nearly 3 billion UZS worth of illegal medicines
The State Security Service arrested an individual who was storing 64,452 units of medicines at home with the intent to sell them.

In a joint operation conducted by officers of the State Security Service’s Khorezm Regional Department and other law enforcement agencies, a man born in 1983 and residing in the city of Urgench was found storing 64,452 units of medicines in his home for the purpose of future sale.
According to the assessment conducted by a private valuation company, the total value of these medicines amounts to 2 billion 908 million 608 thousand UZS.
An examination conducted by the "Pharmaceutical Products Safety Center" of the Ministry of Health revealed that some of the medicines lacked compliance certificates, while others were found to be of poor quality and unfit for use.
Currently, a criminal case has been initiated against the individual under Article 186-3, Part 3, Section “a” of the Criminal Code, and investigative actions are ongoing.
