Germany to simplify work visa issuance for migrants from Uzbekistan
Germany is launching new initiatives for the employment and professional training of citizens of Uzbekistan.
On September 15, the Minister of Employment, Behzod Musaev, held talks in Samarkand on labor migration with German Interior Minister Nancy Faeser. The parties discussed the simplification of work visa issuance.
"We are ready to introduce a simplified procedure for hiring Uzbeks for German employers as part of the agreement," Faeser said.
There are also plans to establish a nursing academy at the Ibn Sina Republican Medical College in Tashkent in collaboration with the Aachen University Clinic. A corresponding agreement was signed with Globogate Concept.
The launch of the training program will simplify the preparation of auxiliary medical personnel heading to work in German clinics. Previously, they had to spend an additional 6-8 months before departure on further training and language studies.
"Over the course of a year, [trainees] will study the profession and [German] language. Along with the diploma, they will receive a professional certificate granting the right to work in Germany," said Globogate CEO San Wu Pai.
Recently, Musaev announced plans to send 800 nurses to work in Germany by the end of the year. Of these, 400 have already left for abroad, and the remaining are completing their training.
