Uzbekistan's Vladimir Svechnikov wins gold at international shooting tournament in Budapest
An athlete representing Uzbekistan, Vladimir Svechnikov, has claimed the gold medal at the IV. MASPED Shooting Cup currently being held in Budapest, Hungary.
According to the National Olympic Committee of Uzbekistan, Svechnikov showcased outstanding accuracy and composure throughout the competition, earning top honors in the 10-meter air pistol discipline.
In the qualification round, he scored an impressive 588 points — the highest among all competitors — and confidently advanced to the final stage. Maintaining his high performance under pressure, Svechnikov dominated the final and was crowned tournament champion, securing a significant victory for Team Uzbekistan.
The final podium of the men’s 10-meter air pistol event was as follows:
- Vladimir Svechnikov (Uzbekistan)
- Atallah Alanazi (Saudi Arabia)
- Jonatan Guanji (Malaysia)
