President Mirziyoyev meets with Franklin Templeton Executive to discuss investment fund development
President Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a meeting on September 25 with Manraj Sekhon, Chief Investment Officer of Franklin Templeton, one of the world's largest asset management companies. Sekhon participated in the Annual Meeting of the AIIB Board of Governors.
According to the presidential press service, Franklin Templeton operates more than 100 offices in 30 countries worldwide, offering global asset management services.
During the meeting, discussions focused on the development of Uzbekistan's National Investment Fund, the transformation of key state-owned enterprises, and the listing of their shares on international stock markets.
Both sides expressed interest in implementing programs to enhance the efficiency of state enterprises, develop the capital market, and promote public IPOs (Initial Public Offerings) in Uzbekistan.
