Qanot Sharq expands fleet with Airbus A330 aircraft for international routes

Qanot Sharq has welcomed a new Airbus A330−200 aircraft into its fleet, which arrived at Tashkent International Airport from Antalya on the evening of October 2. The 13-year-old aircraft has been leased from Turkish charter airline Southwind Airlines, as confirmed by the private carrier's press service.

Manufactured in Toulouse in 2011, this aircraft has a notable history, having been previously operated by Vietnam Airlines and Nordwind Airlines before its leasing to Southwind Airlines, which was the last operator before Qanot Sharq acquired the plane.

The Airbus A330, configured to accommodate 345 passengers, is set to play a crucial role in enhancing Qanot Sharq's international flight offerings. The airline plans to deploy the aircraft on popular international routes to Turkey and Saudi Arabia, as well as to new destinations in Thailand, Vietnam, and other countries.

Currently, Qanot Sharq's fleet comprises seven aircraft, including two Airbus A320−200s, two A321neos, and three A330−200s. The airline has ambitious plans for future expansion, aiming to broaden its route network with upcoming international flights to Warsaw, Paris, Madrid, Bangkok, Bali, Beijing, Shanghai, and other major cities.
