Uzbekistan repatriates 11 abandoned children from abroad
In October, Uzbekistan repatriated 11 children left without parental care in foreign countries, including Russia, China, and Turkey.
The National Agency for Social Protection, with the support of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, facilitated the return of three children, one from Russia and two from China.
The agency is currently assessing the families and close relatives of the children in Uzbekistan, focusing on their difficult living conditions. Following the assessment, a comprehensive range of social services will be provided, including psychological support, legal advice, and assistance with education placement, tailored to the specific needs of each child.
Since the beginning of October, a total of 11 children deprived of parental care abroad have been brought back to Uzbekistan. Authorities are also preparing to repatriate another group of children from Russia in the coming days.
