New ambassador of Egypt presents credentials to FM Saidov
The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Bakhtiyor Saidov, has received copies of the credentials of Egypt’s newly appointed ambassador, Tamer Fathi Abdussalam Hammad.
During the meeting, both sides emphasized the significance of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev's official visit to Cairo last year, which laid the groundwork for a promising partnership between Uzbekistan and Egypt.
"We wish the ambassador a productive and successful tenure in Uzbekistan," Saidov wrote on his Telegram channel.
Tamer Fathi Abdussalam Hammad has replaced Amira Fahmy, who served as the Egyptian Ambassador to Uzbekistan for over three years, from December 2020 to September 2024.
