Uzbekistan projects 2025 average dollar exchange rate at 13,250 UZS
Uzbekistan’s 2025 budget parameters set an average annual exchange rate of 13,250 UZS per U.S. dollar, according to recent reports highlighted by economist and blogger Otabek Bakirov. Projections indicate that the exchange rate will further adjust to 13,725 UZS for 2026 and 14,150 UZS for 2027, reflecting anticipated shifts in the country's macroeconomic strategy.

The 2025 budget targets Uzbekistan’s gross domestic product (GDP) at 1,629 trillion UZS, or approximately $123 billion. These calculations are based on the forecasted annual average exchange rate of 13,250 UZS per dollar, intended to provide a stable foundation for economic planning and public spending.
Bakirov also noted that the GDP figure for 2023 was reassessed to include estimates of the informal and shadow economy, reaching $101.5 billion, with a similar adjustment applied to the 2022 figure.
Previously, the Ministry of Economy and Finance had announced planned changes to the tax policy for 2025 as part of broader economic reforms to enhance fiscal stability and growth.
