Uzbekistan appoints new ambassador to Cuba

During a formal ceremony at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Cuba, Lapasov presented his credentials to Deputy Foreign Minister Josefina Vidal Ferreiro.

The meeting highlighted mutual interest in deepening ties between the two countries. Josefina Vidal Ferreiro reaffirmed Cuba's readiness to strengthen bilateral relations and expand cooperation on multilateral platforms.

It should be reminded that in August 2023, Lapasov started work as Uzbekistan's Permanent Representative to the United Nations.
