Tashkent buses shifting to cashless payments
Starting January 1, 2025, cash payments will no longer be accepted on buses in Tashkent. Instead, fares will be paid electronically using transport cards or bank cards, as part of the city’s move toward a fully cashless payment system.
For passengers who still wish to use cash, the Ministry of Transport has outlined an alternative: single-use tickets can be purchased at payment terminals such as Paynet, MultiPay, and Oson info-kiosks, which will be installed at bus stops and nearby locations.
To ensure faster and more convenient fare payments, passengers are encouraged to adopt electronic payment methods.
