Uzbekistan to launch unified national tourism platform in 2025
Starting in 2025, Uzbekistan will introduce a Unified National Tourism Platform, allowing users to book hotels, purchase tours, and buy transport and entry tickets online. The Cabinet of Ministers approved the initiative, with the official resolution published on Lex.uz.
The platform aims to centralize services for both domestic and international tourists, offering a range of features, including:
• Online booking of accommodations;
• Car rentals and taxi services;
• Ticket purchases for buses, trains, and flights;
• Entry ticket sales for museums and landmarks;
• Access to tour guides, interpreters, travel agencies, and tour operators;
• Payment integration with national and international systems.
The platform will undergo a test launch on September 1, 2025, with a full-scale rollout expected by December 1, 2025. The State Committee for Tourism will oversee the development and management of the platform, including selecting its operator. Funding for the project will be provided by the Tourism Support Fund.
To enhance accessibility, the platform will support 14 foreign languages and integrate with systems such as Uztrans, Uzbekistan Railways, Uzbekistan Airways, and other transport providers.
The initiative follows a directive issued by the president in July, which called for the creation of an informational system for booking air, rail, and bus tickets up to six months in advance. This system was initially planned for launch by December 2024.
