Uzbekistan and Iran discuss establishing a joint tourism committee
Uzbekistan’s Ambassador, Fariddin Nasriyev, held a meeting with Iran’s Minister of Cultural Heritage, Tourism, and Handicrafts, Seyed Reza Salehi Amiri.

During the discussion, the Iranian side acknowledged the growing collaboration between the two countries across various sectors in recent years. It was noted that President Masoud Pezeshkian places a strong emphasis on strengthening cooperation with Uzbekistan.
Seyed Reza Salehi Amiri highlighted that Iran's president views the development of tourism ties with Uzbekistan and the increase in mutual tourist flows as key priorities for advancing bilateral relations.
The talks also focused on establishing a joint Uzbekistan-Iran tourism committee and expanding cooperation within the framework of UNESCO initiatives.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the Iranian side extended an invitation to representatives of Uzbekistan’s tourism sector to participate in the 18th International Tourism Exhibition, scheduled to be held in Tehran from February 11-14 this year.
