China overtakes Russia in number of operating enterprises in Uzbekistan
Over the past year, the number of Chinese enterprises in Uzbekistan has increased by nearly 43%, while the number of Russian enterprises has declined compared to 2024.

According to the Statistics Agency, as of February 1, there were 15,163 operating enterprises and organizations with foreign investment in the country.
Notably, the number of Chinese companies has surged, reaching 3,467, up from 2,432 the previous year.
In contrast, the number of Russian companies has fallen: from 3,049 in 2024 to 2,973 at the start of 2025.
During the same period, the number of enterprises with investments from Turkey decreased from 1,901 to 1,869, from Kazakhstan – from 1,084 to 1,060, and from South Korea – from 736 to 660.
