Number of school teachers in Uzbekistan reaches nearly 565,000

It was noted that this figure has increased by 78.3 thousand compared to the beginning of the 2019/2020 academic year.

The number of teachers (excluding part-time teachers) working in general secondary education institutions at the beginning of each academic year:

•  2019/2020 – 486.6 thousand
•  2020/2021 – 508.2 thousand
•  2021/2022 – 510.0 thousand
•  2022/2023 – 521.6 thousand
•  2023/2024 – 547.7 thousand
•  2024/2025 – 564.9 thousand

For reference, the number of general education institutions operating at the beginning of the 2024/2025 academic year was 10,943.
