Chinese company to develop $120 million waste processing facility in Tashkent region
A $120 million waste processing plant is set to be built in Yangiyul, enabling the daily processing of 800 tons of waste while generating electricity.

A memorandum of cooperation was signed in Beijing between the administration of the Tashkent region and the Chinese company Beijing China Sciences Runyu Environmental Technology Co. Ltd.
Once operational, the plant will incinerate 800 tons of waste per day, supplying electricity to local residents.
Future expansion plans include increasing processing capacity to 4,000 tons per day, boosting energy generation, and creating over 150 new jobs.
The plant’s full-scale launch will require an estimated $400 million in total investment.
