Gas consumption limit for the heating season extended until April 1
The Ministry of Energy of Uzbekistan has announced that the basic norm of 500 cubic meters for natural gas consumption during the heating season has been extended until April 1.
As previously announced, starting from March 1, the country had planned to reduce the basic norm of 500 cubic meters, set for the heating season, to 100 cubic meters.
However, considering that a temperature drop is expected in March, with some days seeing nighttime and daytime temperatures falling below 0°C—colder than usual—and in order to ensure convenience for the population, the President has issued a directive. Accordingly, a relevant resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers has extended the basic norm of 500 cubic meters for the heating season until April 1, 2025.
Monthly gas consumption rates for November, December, January, and February:
- Up to 500 m³ – 650 UZS per 1 m³ of gas
- From 501 m³ to 2500 m³ – 1500 UZS
- From 2501 m³ to 5000 m³ – 1950 UZS
- From 5001 m³ to 10000 m³ – 2275 UZS
- 10001 m³ and above – 2600 UZS
