Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan to launch four new trade corridors
In order to increase trade turnover with the neighboring country, Uzbekistan plans to open four new trade corridors with Kazakhstan.
This initiative was announced by the Ambassador of the Republic of Uzbekistan to Kazakhstan, Bakhtiyor Ibragimov, during a meeting with entrepreneurs from the Zhetysu region, Kazinform reports.
He spoke about the measures Tashkent is taking to strengthen economic ties between the two countries, including the major renovation of border checkpoints. According to him, these changes will positively impact the growth of mutual trade.
Earlier, it was reported that trade centers representing both countries are planned to open—Kazakhstan’s in Tashkent and Uzbekistan’s in Astana.
As of today, more than a thousand enterprises with Kazakhstani capital operate in Uzbekistan, and regional cooperation continues to grow actively.
