Shavkat Mirziyoyev receives letters of credence from ambassadors of six countries
On March 6, a formal ceremony was held for the presentation of letters of credence by newly appointed ambassadors to Uzbekistan from Egypt, Italy, Kyrgyzstan, Belarus, Georgia, and Türkiye.

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev accepted the credentials of the newly appointed extraordinary and plenipotentiary ambassadors: Tamer Fathi of Egypt, Piergabriele Papadia de Bottini of Italy, Duishonkul Chotonov of Kyrgyzstan, Alexander Ogorodnikov of Belarus, David Kotaria of Georgia, and Ufuk Ulutaş of Türkiye.
The president warmly congratulated the ambassadors on the commencement of their diplomatic missions in Uzbekistan. He emphasized that in an era of escalating global conflicts and increasing geopolitical competition, mutual support among friendly nations is more vital than ever.
President Mirziyoyev also expressed gratitude to the governments represented by the ambassadors for their support of Uzbekistan’s accession to the World Trade Organization.
Concluding the ceremony, the president extended his best wishes to the newly appointed envoys, encouraging them to fully utilize all available opportunities to strengthen bilateral partnerships. He also urged them to actively engage with Uzbekistan’s regions and foster collaboration with private-sector representatives.
