Uzbek national secures Seoul’s most expensive apartment in landmark deal
A 41-year-old citizen of Uzbekistan, known only as A., purchased a 244-square-meter luxury apartment in Seoul, South Korea, for 7.4 billion won (roughly $5.1 million), with the entire payment made in cash.

According to the local news outlet Choson.biz, the apartment is located in the prestigious Banpo Xi residential complex, renowned for its affluent residents, and was sold for 7.4 billion won, marking the highest-ever transaction in the area.
Reports indicate that the high-end property was acquired by the Uzbek citizen in November of last year. The buyer’s listed address is the Korea-Uzbekistan Traditional Medicine Clinic in Tashkent.
Financial records confirm that the entire amount was paid in cash, as there is no registered mortgage on the property deed.
Banpo Xi is a large residential complex comprising 3,410 housing units and is home to several of South Korea’s wealthy and prominent figures.
