Uzbekistan sends 200 tons of humanitarian aid to Afghanistan
The humanitarian aid includes flour, pasta, vegetable oil, sugar, and other food supplies.

In line with President Shavkat Mirziyoyev’s directive, Uzbekistan has delivered humanitarian aid to Afghanistan in celebration of Navruz and the upcoming Ramadan holiday, the Surkhandarya regional administration reported.
Reports indicate that nearly 200 tons of food supplies intended for the Afghan population were transported to Balkh province.
The essential food items were handed over in Hairatan city, at the premises of the Astras company, in a ceremony attended by Uzbekistan’s Special Representative for Afghanistan, Ismatulla Irgashev, Surkhandarya governor Ulugbek Kosimov, representatives from relevant ministries, Balkh province governor Muhammad Yusuf Vafo, and officials from both sides.
The aid package consists of flour, wheat, pasta, vegetable oil, sugar, instant meals, red beans, and mung beans.
Additionally, a bilateral meeting was held in Mazar-i-Sharif, where discussions focused on advancing future cooperation. During the talks, special attention was given to the construction of the Imam Bukhari Mausoleum in Afghanistan, a project supported by Uzbekistan.
Afghan officials expressed gratitude to the President and people of Uzbekistan for their assistance, extending warm congratulations ahead of Ramadan.
The visit also included an overview of new projects currently underway.
