New law proposes lower penalties for vehicle tinting violations
The Ministry of Internal Affairs has introduced a draft law for public discussion, proposing amendments and additions to Uzbekistan’s Administrative Code.
According to the draft, a new article (126-1) is set to be added to the Code of Administrative Responsibility.
Under this new regulation, drivers who violate the terms specified in their window tinting permit will face a fine of 1 BCU (375,000 UZS).
Previously, the fine for such violations was significantly higher—25 BCUs (9.375 million UZS).
Additionally, under the 12-point penalty system, illegal window tinting modifications will now result in a 0.5-point deduction.
