Tax debt in Uzbekistan reaches 8.5 trillion UZS
The total amount of unpaid taxes in Uzbekistan has reached 8.5 trillion UZS, according to Mubin Mirzayev, First Deputy Chairman of the Tax Committee. He made this announcement during a press briefing on April 1.

During the discussion, journalists inquired about the nation’s outstanding tax liabilities. In response, Mirzayev stated that overdue taxes will not exceed 10% this year.
"Currently, the total amount of unpaid taxes stands at 8.5 trillion UZS. In March, we reduced this figure by 140 billion UZS for the first time. Tax arrears increased in 2024, but we have set a strict recovery plan. Our goal for 2025 is to keep tax debt below 10%," said Mirzayev.
