Andijan governor elected President of Strongman Games Federation of Asia
Shukhratbek Abdurakhmonov, governor of Andijan region, has been elected president of the newly established Asian Federation of Strongman Games. The decision was made during the federation's founding assembly, according to a statement from the regional administration’s press service.

The founding conference of the Asian Federation of Strongman Games and Kettlebell Sport was held in the city of Khanabad, as part of the Ethno Strongman Games World Cup and the World Kettlebell Championship.
During the event, Shukhratbek Abdurakhmonov was officially elected to lead the new continental federation.
It was noted that prior to this, no federation dedicated to this specific sport had existed in the Asian region.
