Compulsory Enforcement Bureau: $17 billion recovered in eight years
The Compulsory Enforcement Bureau (CEB) of Uzbekistan has recovered more than 219 trillion UZS – equivalent to approximately $17 billion at the current exchange rate – since it began operations in 2017, according to Farrukh Toshpulatov, head of the CEB’s press service.

Of the total amount recovered:
• Nearly 95 trillion UZS were in favor of the state;
• 67 trillion UZS were directed to business entities;
• 46 trillion UZS went to banks;
• More than 11.3 trillion UZS were recovered in favor of private individuals.
To ensure the stable functioning of energy, water supply, and service management companies, over 5 trillion UZS were collected. Under the “Iron Notebook,” “Women’s Notebook,” and “Youth Notebook” support programs, citizens received over 3.6 trillion UZS.
Additionally, 6.6 trillion UZS in alimony payments were collected on behalf of children. To cover unpaid alimony debts, 179 residential properties (worth 27.9 billion UZS), 45 vehicles (3.7 billion UZS), and 280 other assets (4.1 billion UZS) were handed over.
As part of its preventative and conciliatory efforts, the Bureau – working together with relevant agencies – helped reconcile more than 188,000 families.
Moreover, 5,625 individuals who had been unlawfully dismissed from their jobs were reinstated and received a total of 327.1 million UZS in wage arrears.
