Internal probe uncovers irregularities at Piskent auto test facility
Kun.uz previously reported that a vehicle scheduled for testing on June 28 at the Piskent automotive test track had received its certification as early as May 20 – raising concerns of potential corruption. An internal investigation by UzTest has now confirmed this violation. Disciplinary action has been taken against two employees of the Electromagnetic Compatibility Laboratory.

In its investigative article titled "Are There ‘Fast-Track’ Ways to Get Certified at the Piskent Test Track?", Kun.uz revealed that a car with a June 28 appointment was granted certification on May 20, suggesting a possible corruption case.
According to UzTest's internal inquiry, the electronic queue system – designed to regulate vehicle testing – was deliberately bypassed in this instance.
“Specialist K.J. and clerk B.S. from the Electromagnetic Compatibility Laboratory in Piskent District allowed a vehicle to undergo testing ahead of its scheduled time in violation of the electronic queue system. Additionally, the test samples were not fully or promptly provided to the applicants,” stated the official response shared with Kun.uz.
The investigation found that the aforementioned employees had shown negligence in performing their duties, and disciplinary measures were taken against them.
“In order to prevent such corruption-related incidents, the Technical Regulation Agency has improved the national information system ‘Tris.uz’. Now, electronic appointments made through the Unified Portal of Interactive Public Services (my.gov.uz) are fully integrated with ‘Tris.uz’, effectively preventing early or unscheduled access,” the agency’s statement added
