Uzbekistan’s National Guard wins sniper championship in China
National Guard team set records in challenging exercises and won the Operational Technical and Tactical Training Cup.

From July 12 to 20, the city of Ürümqi in China hosted the Otkir Tigh-2025 international sniper competition, featuring 45 teams from 25 countries, according to the press service of Uzbekistan’s National Guard.
The team from Uzbekistan’s National Guard took first place overall, delivering record-breaking performances in two key events:
- Comprehensive shooting: hitting 24 targets placed at various distances from 7 firing positions, with ranges up to 1,200 meters
- Urban elevated shooting: hitting 6 targets at distances between 100 and 650 meters
Uzbek snipers also earned top spots in other categories, including individual shooting and extreme long-range shooting.
At the end of the tournament, the Uzbek team was awarded 8 medals, 10 diplomas, and a number of valuable prizes.
In addition, having outperformed rivals in the most technically demanding events, the team was presented with the Cup for Operational Technical and Tactical Training, one of the competition’s top honors.
