On June 30, the company’s Vice President Luigi Fiorentino and the head of the joint venture UTG Energies, Gaetano Crisci, held talks with the leadership of Uzatom to discuss the prospects of establishing a long-term strategic partnership.
T.EN expressed its readiness to make a “significant contribution” to infrastructure development by offering services such as design, preparation of documentation in line with international standards, and technical oversight.
According to Uzatom, particular attention during the meeting was given to the issue of project financing, including discussions on attracting export credit and grants to support joint initiatives.
Technip Energies representatives also showed interest in forming an official partnership with Uzbekistan and proposed exploring opportunities for joint activities in third-country markets.
A day earlier, on July 29, Fiorentino and Crisci held talks with Minister of Investments, Industry and Trade Laziz Kudratov. The discussion focused on expanding cooperation in the mining, agro-industrial, chemical, and energy sectors.
A key topic was the development of project proposals for the exploration and use of critical minerals. The parties discussed attracting foreign direct investment and leveraging international expertise to implement promising projects in this area.
