State Tax Committee blames technical glitch for wrongful withdrawals from entrepreneurs’ accounts
The State Tax Committee has announced that due to a technical malfunction in its electronic tax services portal, incorrect information, such as the appearance of tax arrears and withdrawal of funds, may have been displayed. The committee stated that once the malfunction is resolved, all data will be restored and any wrongly withdrawn funds will be returned.
Reports have emerged on social media claiming that the State Tax Committee has unjustifiably withdrawn money from entrepreneurs’ accounts. According to entrepreneurs’ appeals, the total sum could be close to UZS 6 trillion.
“About UZS 200 million was unlawfully taken from us. I am an auditor, and all organizations are in the same situation,” one of the complainants wrote.
The State Tax Committee confirmed that a technical issue had been observed in its electronic tax services system (my3.soliq.uz).
The committee warned that, as a result, the portal could temporarily display inaccurate information such as tax arrears in comparative statements and records of funds being withdrawn.
“The situation is under control. Our specialists are currently working to resolve the problem. Once the malfunctions are fixed, all data will be restored and any incorrectly withdrawn funds will be refunded. Thank you for your understanding,” the committee’s official statement read.
