Gas supply to Fergana Valley stations to be temporarily suspended during pipeline works
Gas supply to parts of the Fergana Valley will be temporarily restricted on 5–6 September due to connection works on a newly built section of the main pipeline, the Energy Ministry said.

The restrictions will affect automobile gas filling compressor stations (AGFCS) and several large industrial consumers, while household supply will remain uninterrupted. To ease the impact, additional volumes of automobile gasoline will be made available to local consumers.
The measures come as Uzbekistan continues preparations for the autumn–winter season under state programs aimed at strengthening the reliability of natural gas supply.
According to the ministry, a 22-kilometer extension of the “Ohangaron–Pungon” trunk pipeline has been completed through the mountainous area of the valley. The new section is expected to enhance the stability of gas supplies to the region once it is commissioned.
Gas transmission through the pipeline will be suspended for 36 hours starting at 12:00 on 5 September to allow the new section to be connected.
