Uzbekistan’s eight-month customs revenues exceed UZS 47 trillion

According to the Customs Committee, during the first eight months of 2025, more than 1.151 million freight vehicles, over 516,000 cargo wagons, and nearly 41 million passengers passed through border customs checkpoints. In the reporting period, more than 742,000 customs cargo declarations were processed.

Almost 12,000 participants in foreign economic activity received benefits and preferences amounting to UZS 36.2 trillion in customs payments. In addition, over 350 business entities were granted deferred payments for UZS 3.7 trillion in customs duties.

Customs transfers to the state budget reached UZS 47.2 trillion, fulfilling the target at 101.2 percent. Improvements in customs procedures and the introduction of new information systems generated an additional UZS 4.5 trillion in revenues.

As part of the fight against the shadow economy, 27,594 cases were recorded, preventing the illegal circulation of goods worth UZS 789 billion. These included foreign currency valued at the equivalent of UZS 58.3 billion, jewelry worth UZS 91.5 billion, as well as narcotics, psychotropic substances, and other contraband.

Specifically, authorities intercepted 1,303 kilograms of narcotics, nearly 1,061 kilograms of psychotropic and potent substances, 124 firearms and cold weapons, 435 cartridges, and tobacco products valued at UZS 46.6 billion.

The number of entrepreneurs using the customs inward processing regime reached 380, with goods worth $726.7 million placed under this regime. As a result, processed goods worth $841.1 million were exported.
