Tashkent customs seize undeclared iPhone 17 Pro Max units worth UZS 230 million
Customs officers at Tashkent International Airport have stopped an attempt to illegally bring in mobile phones.
A passenger arriving from Doha tried to pass through the “green” corridor of the customs control zone without declaring the goods.
During an inspection of his luggage, officers from the anti-smuggling department of the Specialized Customs Complex “Tashkent-AERO” discovered nine iPhone 17 Pro Max devices not declared in the passenger’s customs declaration.
The preliminary value of the seized phones was estimated at UZS 230 million. The goods have been confiscated as physical evidence and placed in temporary storage.
Documents have been filed against the passenger, and an inquiry is underway.
