Russian security forces raid Jaloliddin Ahmadaliyev’s concert in Krasnoyarsk
In Krasnoyarsk, officers of the Russian National Guard stormed a concert by Uzbek singer Jaloliddin Ahmadaliyev, checking the documents of guests, searching them with a service dog, and escorting several men out – some with their hands twisted behind their backs.
According to Newslab, the raid took place in the “Korona” banquet hall in Yemelyanovsky district of Krasnoyarsk Krai. Units of Russia’s Interior Ministry, the Federal Security Service (FSB) and National Guard special forces conducted the operation to identify “illegal migrants” and individuals involved in drug trafficking.
The inspection was carried out during the performance of Uzbek singer Jaloliddin Ahmadaliyev. Law enforcement officers checked 620 guests, 210 of whom were foreign nationals. No prohibited items or substances were found.
Published footage shows National Guard officers checking visitors’ documents, using a service dog for inspection, escorting a group of men in formation, and taking some away with their hands restrained behind their backs.
In addition, 26 foreigners were taken to the police station, eight of whom were found to be in Russia illegally.
As a result of the raid, police drew up 19 administrative protocols for violations of entry or stay rules in Russia by foreign citizens or stateless persons. Three criminal cases were also opened under the article “Fictitious registration of a foreign citizen or stateless person,” with investigations now underway.
