Seven detained after mass food poisoning at Tashkent region kindergartens
Seven people have been taken into custody in connection with the mass food poisoning of nearly 1,000 children at kindergartens in Tashkent region.

The case has been transferred from the regional Department of Internal Affairs to the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
As part of the investigation into the mass poisoning incident, three executives of the food manufacturing company alleged to have caused the outbreak, along with four officials from outsourcing firms that supplied food to the kindergartens, were placed in pre-trial detention.
Earlier, the Sanitary and Epidemiological Welfare and Public Health Committee reported that 963 kindergarten children had been diagnosed with acute gastroenteritis. To date, 269 have fully recovered, and another 421 were expected to be discharged from hospital on 27 September. Thirteen children remain in moderate condition.
