At the beginning of the discussion, it was noted that relations between Uzbekistan and the EBRD have been steadily expanding. This year, Uzbekistan plans to attract €1.1 billion for ongoing projects, with the majority of the funds directed toward supporting the private sector.
During the talks, the bank highlighted its priority areas in Uzbekistan: infrastructure modernization, energy efficiency programs including green energy, support for women’s entrepreneurship, expanding opportunities for small and medium-sized businesses, as well as strengthening private sector development.
Following the meeting, both sides agreed to maintain regular dialogue to ensure the consistent continuation of cooperation and effective coordination in the implementation of agreements.
